Ford do Brasil

Ford Purchase

Ford purchased Willy-Overland do Brasil in 1967, and this design and production facilities were included in that purchase. The Willys Pickup model was later renamed to Ford F-75. The Ford F-75 stayed in production in Brazil until 1981.

In 1975, the standard 2.6L BF-161 engine model was replaced by a 2.3L SOHC engine. The truck was offered in 4x2 and 4x4 configurations. The only other major change made by Ford post-acquisition was rebranding the tailgate from Jeep to Ford.
